We used to spend a lot of time in Canmore — our child had training there, and the town slowly became almost like home to us. Now he lives there on his own, and we still keep coming back — simply because we love this place.
And it’s strange: I don’t know why, but I always get a strong association with a steam train rushing somewhere near Canmore. This image fits the local atmosphere so well — the mountains, the quiet, the feeling of a long road.

Мы раньше много времени проводили в Canmore — у ребёнка там были тренировки, и город стал почти родным.
Теперь он живёт там сам, и мы всё равно приезжаем — просто потому что любим это место.
И вот странно: не знаю почему, но у меня всегда возникает сильная ассоциация с паровозом, который мчится где‑то рядом с Canmore. Этот образ удивительно точно ложится на местную атмосферу — горы, тишину, ощущение пути.
Под этим настроением и родилась моя картина — на маленьком кусочке дерева, 8–9 инч.
